Membrane Bioreactor

This pilot allows understanding and management of the wastewater treatment process by denitrification and nitrification. The operation is visual, as the products are implemented in transparent acrylic containers.

Operative Part:

• Feed reservoir (polyethylene), 200L, removable lid and drain
• Denitrification tank (transparent acrylic), cylindrical with conical bottom, 20L, draining removable lid with probe supports
• Nitrification/Aeration tank (transparent acrylic), cylindrical with conical bottom, 40L, draining removable lid with probe supports; air distribution via flexible porous tube at tank bottom
• Washing tank (stainless steel), conical bottom, 20L, removable lid
• In-line cooler (2 coaxial tubes, 2 flexible hoses, 1 solenoid valve)
• Dosing pump 0–30 L/h (feed to denitrification)
• Recycling pump 0–140 L/h (denitrification to nitrification)
• Stainless steel centrifugal pump 0–1000 L/h up to 4 bar with speed drive; centrifugal pump 0–400 L/h
• Compressor with startup silencer 0–2000 L/h, 4 bar; pressure gauge, control valve, filter
• Ceramic ultrafiltration membrane
• Stainless steel pneumatic valve (replaceable by electric valve)
• 3 pressure probes; 2 oxygen probes with transmitters; 2 pH probes with transmitters; 2 Pt100 temperature probes with converters
• Float-type or electromagnetic flow meters (options 2 and 3)
• Electrical cabinet with touchscreen, transmitters, PLC (option 3)
• Real-time data acquisition and Excel export (options 2 and 3): 3 pressures, 2 temperatures, 4 flow rates, 2 pH, 2 O₂, RS485 Ethernet
