An air conditioning laboratory unit with recirculating duct and PID controller, enabling investigation of recirculated air proportion, mixed stream enthalpy, and the individual and combined effects of Proportional, Integral and Derivative control of temperature and humidity. Additional software allows the process to be computer controlled and monitored as in a Building Energy Management System.

- Psychrometric measurement: High precision wet and dry bulb sensors; 0–100% RH capability
- Airflow: Adjustable to at least 0.14 m³/s
- Switchable heating: Up to 4 kW
- Switchable steam injection: Up to 5 kW electrical equivalent
- Cooling: Fully instrumented vapour compression cycle; nominal 2 kW capacity
